Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHCET) is conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education and is accepted by over 80 institutes in Maharashtra. The institutes which qualify for the admission process as per these rules are Approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. Recognized by the Government of Maharashtra. Affiliated to any one of the ten Non Agricultural/Non Technological Universities in Maharashtra state. Directorate of Technical Education is responsible for Post Graduate, Graduate & Diploma level institutions in Engineering & Technology, Architecture, Pharmacy and Management in the State. The sections in the MHCET-MBA are Quantitative Analysis, Verbal ability and Data interpretation.
Eligibility Criteria for appearing to MAH-MBA/MMS-CET (subject to change):
Passed with minimum of 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent CGPA ( 45% in case of candidates of backward class categories belonging to Maharashtra State only) in any Bachelor’s degree awarded byany of the Universities incorporated by an act of the central or state legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956 of minimum three years duration in any discipline recognized by the Association of Indian Universities, or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India.
Appeared for the final year examination of any Bachelor’s degree to be awarded by any of the Universities incorporated by an act of the central or state legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956 of minimum three years duration in any discipline recognized by the
Association of Indian Universities, or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India. Such candidates will be considered for provisional admission subject to passing the Degree exam with minimum of 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent CGPA (45% in case of candidates of backward class categories belonging to Maharashtra State only).
For admission to MBA/MMS/PGDBM/PGDM course, the candidate is required to score minimum 30 marks in MAH-MBA/MMS CET. Candidates seeking admission to All India seats on the basis of CAT are required to obtain minimum equivalent score.
GD&PI, Document Verification, Centralized Admission Process etc., for securing admission against the Maharashtra seats, All India seats, Minority seats, Institute level seats and seats for NRI/ Foreign National / Foreign Students / PIO / Children of Indian Workers in the Gulf Countries.
Application form and such applications only will be considered valid for further processing.
Candidates who have appeared for the CAT and aspiring to claim admission against the All India seats and wanted to appear only for GD&PI are also required to submit the online CET application form. Such Candidates will not be issued the Hall Ticket for the CET; however such candidates are required to register for GD &PI as per schedule so as to get the Call letter for GD &PI.
Applications sent by Post/Courier etc. to ARCs/DTE office will be rejected and no communication in this regard will be done with the candidates.
It should be noted that no documents are required to be submitted at this stage. Candidates are advised to keep the necessary documents ready at the time of Document verification. For Open Category Candidates from Maharashtra State, Outside Maharashtra State (OMS), J & K Migrant candidates and NRI/Foreign National/Foreign Students/ PIO/Children of Indian Workers in the Gulf Countries Candidates
